Ah Cai Shi Mu Yu Du(阿財虱目魚肚), the Popular and Famous Night Snack for Its Legendary Milkfish Belly in Taipei, Taiwan!

On a weekday in Feb., 2017, my friend and I went to Ximending, Taipei, Taiwan for night snacks! We heard that here was a famous restaurant, Ah Cai Shi Mu Yu Du(阿財虱目魚肚), for night snacks.

Ah Cai Shi Mu Yu Du(阿財虱目魚肚) only opens from 22:00 to 05:00. It's always popular in Ximending during the night snack time. It's famous for its milkfish belly!

The Menu of Ah Cai Shi Mu Yu Du(阿財虱目魚肚)

We entered the restaurant as soon as it opened! We had seats immediately. The crowd came to the restaurant after us.

I ordered one bowl of milkfish belly soup, braised pork rice and one piece of green onion frittata for night snack.

I liked its milkfish belly soup the most. The soup tasted light but delicious. The fish was tender and perfectly matched with the light soup. It was quite good to be a night snack!

The braised rice(TWD 30 = USD 1) and green onion frittata(TWD 40 = USD 1.33)

The green onion frittata was also superb. Its fluffy texture was really hard to forget! Personally speaking, I thought its braise pork on rice had too much fat, but it was still good for those guys who loved fatty pork.

I think it's a good place to enjoy night snacks in Taipei, Taiwan! But it probably takes too much your time to queue. Avoiding its peak hours or Taking out is a smart choice!
